One of the many lessons the pandemic has taught me is the value of regularly scheduled time to feel into what is ok.
Beneath the veils of what feels not ok, what is uncertain, falling apart, changing, alarming, and mystifying, there is a core essence in all of us that is somehow always ok.
True friendship develops when we visit our okayness often, as it would with a person. We get to know it intimately, to connect with it, to let it into our hearts, where it nourishes and empowers us deeply.
Try this exercise: Bring to mind a precious, heartfelt moment, like the hand of a loved one in yours, a gorgeous sunset, or a sweet gesture from your pet. Feel how something in you softens and how, for a brief instant, the rest of the world, thoughts, worries, etc' drop away. Breathe with it.
This is a touch of okayness. There is more.
In the upcoming True Friendship: Women's Meditation Circle we unveil our okayness and visit with it often. We practice timeless techniques for encountering it daily amidst everything that is happening in our lives and the world. We share in this inquiry with other like-hearted women and support each other to live and love authentically, rooted in wholeness.
