There's an easily accessible and very helpful acupressure point for chest pain, anxiety, and heartache or heartbreak. It's called Pericardium, or Heart Protector, 7 (PC / HP 7).
Acupressure points are located all over the body and act like windows to the entire energy system. By applying very gentle pressure with just the fingertips on the surface of the skin at these point locations, the whole energy system is invited to recalibrate and balance. Pericardium 7 is a good point for… -- CHEST PAIN (or tightness and tension in the chest as well as the lateral costal region) -- ANXIETY (and also insomnia) -- HEARTACHE/BREAK (especially the kind caused by emotional upset or a breakup) This point is called Great Mound. By applying gentle pressure to Pericardium 7, it’s as if we’ve climbed up to a great mound from which we can survey our life and know that we are ok, even if what we see is not all ok. Also, this point connects us to the ancestral wisdom encoded in our DNA. This is the wisdom of all of those who have come before us, who lived and loved and know all about having relationships on this planet. By holding this point, we invite this wisdom to support us from within. Check out this video for instructions on how to locate acupressure point Pericardium 7. The video also contains a simple meditation, or visualization, to increase the potency and effectiveness of the point.
