Just as the sun is sometimes veiled by clouds, so is our wholeness veiled by thoughts and beliefs that we are broken or somehow not good enough, limited, small, separate, and powerless. But behind those clouds of not enough-ness, our warm and bright Wholeness shines on.
I don't know enough... I'm confused... Everybody else knows more than me... For many of us, these thoughts are on repeat all day long. They constrict our body. Shorten our breath. Give us headaches and heartaches and hold us back from doing our work, enjoying life, and feeling our well-being. But these limiting thoughts are actually the key to experiencing our Wise Being. They're like curtains. When we're able to see the curtains, we are also able to pull them back and reveal our Intelligent Wholeness. |
In this Yoga Nidra workshop, we learn how awareness of limiting thoughts about our knowledge and their accompanying feelings helps us uncover our essence as Intelligent Wholeness.
For those familiar with the yogic teachings informing the iRest® Yoga Nidra practice, this workshop is an in-depth experiential study of Pointer Sister Desire or the Kashmir Shaivism element of Vidya (vidya tattva).
The workshop is comprised of a talk + iRest® Yoga Nidra meditation + reflections. The talk is an intimate, sometimes humorous, and always honest look at the experiences that arise and often challenge us in our everyday lives. The Yoga Nidra meditation integrates the talk and allows us to feel soothed, warmed, and held by the depth of our own Wholeness. We reflect together at the end in order to further embody the feeling of Wholeness.
Each workshop is followed up by two 1-hr long Wholeness Practice sessions in which we practice together how to apply these teachings to everyday life. Currently, these practice sessions are offered at no additional cost for workshop participants.
