You’ve probably heard of fight, flight, and freeze - but do you know how to regulate your nervous system back to calm?
In this data-driven transformative course, you will:
- gain essential nervous system literacy and learn the basics of the Polyvagal Theory
- learn to identify physical and behavioral cues that indicate fight or flight, freeze, and flock
- discover ways to more quickly pacify "fight," i.e. shouting matches, combativeness, and aimless arguing
- explore how to effectively alleviate "flight," i.e. anxiety, non-stop-looping mind, and an inner go-go-go
- locate what works best when you're feeling "freeze," i.e. shut-down, numb, alone, and disconnected
- discover ways to recognize nervous system activation in others and how to respond to them
- stretch your ventral vagal capacity for calm, greater connection in relationships, and deeper physical relaxation
- learn to match your self-care techniques to your nervous system states for successful regulation and optimal health
Learn the basic function of the autonomic nervous system and science of the Polyvagal Theory, enhance awareness of how your nervous system reacts to life, and practice effective regulation techniques for calm, safety, and fulfilling connections.
The course features group as well as individual sessions plus a private WhatsApp space for learning key concepts in a relaxed environment, supported by a community of learners, with personal instruction that ensures the safe application of helpful techniques to your specific nervous system, circumstances, and lifestyle. |

Polyvagal Informed ++
Based on Deb Dana’s work with the Polyvagal Theory, this course offers practical techniques for calming your brain, managing activation in your body, and skillfully relating to others. Succinct live group sessions peppered with personal examples from everyday life make the material engaging and accessible.
One-on-one sessions provide you with an opportunity to reflect on the data, ask questions, and personally identify your nervous system's unique cues. The combination of group and private individual sessions ensures that you effectively apply the regulation techniques to your own nervous system for optimal health, greater ease, and depth of connection in life.

Date & Time:
Four 1-hour live group sessions take place on Thursdays, February 9, February 23, March 9, and March 23, 7:00-8:00pm ET live via Zoom. Lecture content is recorded and available to view online or download until March 31, 2023. Participants' sharing is not recorded, so attend live if you can.
Four 30-minute individual sessions are live on Zoom. Schedule your session in available slots on Mondays 4:00-7:30pm, Thursdays 6:00-7:30pm, and Fridays 10:00am-12:00pm or 2:00-7:00pm ET. Participant receive access to scheduling individual sessions after registering for the course. |
Strengthening Connection:Another component of this course is a private WhatsApp group with weekly prompts. When we share with each other, we track our own experience and learn that everyone else also experiences nervous system fluctuations. It normalizes our experience and reduces shame. It develops our ability to view our nervous system objectively and more quickly reach for the healthy tools that bring us back to calm. It also fosters a community of support that continuously reiterates the message that we are not alone and can come back into connection when we have moved away.

Cost:
Total cost is $333 when you register by February 2, 2023 at 11:59pm ET (early bird option). It's $444 afterwards (full price). Two payment options available: pay course fee in one payment (click hyperlink or use the "click to register" button below) or split fee into two monthly payment (click hyperlink for details; deadline January 6, 2023 at 11:59pm). If you've missed the deadline, please contact Shira to arrange for an installment plan. The fee includes all 8 sessions (4 group sessions and 4 individual sessions), private WhatsApp group communication, all course content and materials, and access to the recordings until March 31, 2023. Pay with Credit/Debit, PayPal, Square, or Venmo.
Cancellation Policy:
- Once you have registered and paid, you may cancel your attendance in the course for a full refund minus any applicable processing fees up to a firm week before the first group session by emailing Shira at shiraozsinai@gmail.com to cancel and request a refund.
- No refunds or partial refunds are available if course attendance is cancelled within a firm week of the first group session. No refunds or partial refunds are available for any no-show to the course sessions.
- The fee, including any portion of it, is non-transferrable and cannot be used by other people or for other services.
- Unexpected events fo happen and are a part of life. Please contact Shira to discuss your options as soon as possible if you experience an unexpected event and cannot show up for a group or individual session as scheduled.
- Shira adheres to the same guidelines if the need to cancel, reschedule, or make a last minute change occurs on her end.
